A pop Artist who celebrated daily objects with bold patterns and colors.
SO here we began our vivid journey of Prints, Patterns, and Land.
We began with a simple Beach scene.
We discussed Horizon line, back ground, middle ground, foreground, overlapping, etc.
Then we dissected our landscape with some mathematical terms; perpendicular lines, parallel lines, diagonal lines, etc.
Each space had to be filled with intricate prints.
I pushed coloring darkly and after they got over the initial pain- My students"my hand hurts" Me "that means you are doing it right" They realized how great the colors looked.
| This artist really got into the print/pattern making. The students and I loved looking at hers for inspiration. |
